Rock stars immortalised in new ad campaign

Kurt Cobain, Joe Strummer, Joey Ramone and Sid Vicious have been immortalised in a new advertising campaign.

The late rock stars all appear as angels wearing Dr. Martens boots in heaven for a Saatchi & Saatchi poster/print campaign.

"We wanted to communicate that Dr Martens boots are 'made to last' and we discovered that these idolised musicians wore them," explains writer Andrew Petch. "Showing them still wearing their Docs in heaven dramatised the boots' durability perfectly. And, as images, they feel very iconic."

The images have been cleared for use in the UK only, in an arrangement with Corbis, supplier of the original photographs, which have been enhanced by photographer Dimitri Daniloff and retoucher Christophe Huet, reports The Daily Swarm.
